Bruschettas and crostini are among the most popular Italian appetizers. However, they are quite heavy and are often used as a main dish, especially in the summer heat.

The taste of summer tomatoes is incomparable, and these recipes offer the disclosure of their full flavor. There are thousands of recipes with countless different variations, which contain a variety of toppings and additives such as peppers, cheese, olives, sausages, fish, etc.

In combination with chilled wine, an incomparable combination is obtained. By replacing the products with those available for the season, you can consume them at any time of the year.

But what is the difference between the two appetizers crostini and bruschettas, given that there is also a subspecies - crostini? This is a very difficult question and few people would give an unambiguous answer.

The truth is that for the typical Italian bruschetta, the bread is cut thicker, smeared with olive oil and garlic after toasting. In contrast, Italian crostini are thinner and are not rubbed with garlic. Of course, there are other differences, which, however, can only be noticed by a true Italian.
