Officials from the National Revenue Agency will now monitor the various types of fruits, vegetables, meat and fish due to the high fiscal risk of the goods.
The NRA's fiscal control unit reports that it monitors the movement of a total of 53 goods that are considered to have a high fiscal risk. This means that certain food products are used in VAT evasion schemes.
By order of the Minister of Finance - Petar Chobanov, new groups were added to the list of goods that are subject to monitoring by fiscal agents.

Since the beginning of the year, NRA agents have conducted over 42,000 inspections of risky goods. Seals have been affixed to 10,500 vehicles carrying various foodstuffs.
The movement of over 500 million kilograms of risky goods, including fruits and vegetables, meat, sugar, flour, milk powder, was also monitored.
The new NRA fiscal control unit was established at the beginning of the year to control the tax risks of import and trade in goods such as fruits and vegetables, sugar, flour, meat and meat products, oil.
