As in most national cuisines, so in Russian for dessert various sweet delicacies are served. These are usually gingerbread, cottage cheese cakes, pickles, cookies, puddings, mousses or jelly. Of particular interest are the latter, as although they were not invented in Russia, they have become a traditional Russian dessert.

Jelly in principle, they can be prepared from any fruit and flavor and have added cream or nuts, but must include gelatin, where the word comes from jelly. Here are some of the most common recipes for making jellies:

Blueberry jelly

Necessary products: 1 1/2 tsp. blueberries, 18 g gelatin, 3 tsp. water, 150 g sugar, vanilla or other flavor of your choice

Method of preparation: To melted in 3/4 tsp. water gelatin add sugar and vanilla. After thorough mixing, the mixture is filtered and the previously squeezed blueberry juice is added to it. Add the remaining water to this liquid, stir again, pour into cups or bowls and leave for some time in the refrigerator. After about 1 hour, the jelly can be served topped with blueberries or other fruits

Necessary products: 1 chocolate, 3/4 tsp. water, 14 g gelatin, 3 tsp cream, 50 g sugar, vanilla

Method of preparation: Melt the gelatin in the water and add the pre-grated chocolate, sugar, vanilla and cream. Bring to the boil, strain and stir. Then pour into suitable bowls and leave to stand in the cold until the gelatin hardens.

Necessary products: 550 g strawberries, 310 g sugar, 2 1/2 tsp. water, the juice of 1 lemon, 1 1/2 tsp. white wine, 1 1/2 tsp. cream, 320 g sugar, vanilla

Method of preparation: Boil 200 g of sugar together with 1 1/2 tsp. water, then put in them 400 g of strawberries. All this is boiled for about 3 minutes and left under a lid for 2 hours. The juice is squeezed and gelatin, previously dissolved in 1 tsp, is added to it. water, wine and lemon juice, stir and pour into molds, which are allowed to cool in the refrigerator. While this is happening, mix the remaining strawberries with the remaining sugar and pour over the bowls of jelly, and finally add the whipped cream with the vanilla. Everything stays in the fridge until it hardens enough, then it is ready to serve.
