The European Union allocates 1.85 million euros for advertising the Bulgarian lyutenitsa. The campaign will be entitled Free European Taste.
The State Fund for Agriculture and the Union of Fruit and Vegetable Processors in Bulgaria have allocated another 1.85 million euros, so the total amount for the advertising campaign is 3.7 million euros.
30% of this money comes from the State Fund, and 20% - from the Union of Fruit and Vegetable Processors in Bulgaria. The remaining 50% is invested by the European Union.
Prior to that, the fund allocated BGN 1.7 million to Bulgarian producers to advertise their products abroad.
In addition to the lyutenitsa, the State Fund for Agriculture has included other emblematic Bulgarian products - dairy products, vegetables, fruits, eggs and wine.
Bulgarian products will be advertised on European markets for 3 years. The advertising contract has already been signed.
The aim of the campaign is to increase the consumption of Bulgarian lyutenitsa, as well as other traditional products for our cuisine, by Europeans in the West and residents of the United Arab Emirates. Bulgarian producers even plan to broadcast their ads in Russia, China and Australia.
The Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria will be allocated BGN 500,000 for advertising of Bulgarian eggs in Greece and Romania.
BGN 420,000 have been invested in the advertising of dairy products. This money will be used to organize PR events, TV commercials and seminars. The money is already directed to the Association of Dairy Producers in Bulgaria.
The National Union of Gardeners in Bulgaria will receive over BGN 340,000 for the promotion of fresh cherries in Russia. The money will be used to create ads in electronic, social and print media. Some of them will be aimed at creating audio messages in the Moscow metro, as well as creating product presentations.
The Trakia Viticulture and Wine Chamber will receive BGN 340,000 for the promotion of Bulgarian wine in Russia and China.
