The English egg diet was developed by nutritionists working at the Mayo Clinic. It's called Margaret Thatcher's dietas it is believed that experts have invented this diet specifically for the Iron Lady. The diet guarantees that between ten and 20 kilograms can be lost in about a month.

The interesting thing about the diet is that it is not based on starvation - it is a special combination of products and the content of a lot of citrus and eggs in the diet. Nutritionists confirm that the combination actually effectively helps burn fat.

The basic rules in the so-called Margaret Thatcher's diet includes a lunch and dinner menu never to be exchanged. The next rule is that if the diet does not explicitly state the exact amount of a product, it means that it can be eaten indefinitely.

In addition, eggs may be partially replaced by cottage cheese. Jam is not prohibited, but the use of sugar and products containing it is not allowed. It is recommended to consume a large amount of fruit and plenty of water. It is especially important not to eat food until you feel heaviness in the stomach - one must control the amount of food.

It is also advisable to reduce the use of salt and use more other spices. Prohibited products are pork and lamb, from the fruits - figs, grapes, mangoes, bananas and dates.

Fatty cheeses and milk are also excluded from the regime, consumption of potatoes and corn is not allowed. Forget about meat broths and greasy sauces, exclude animal fat, butter and oil.

No more pasta and cereals can be consumed - nothing made of white flour. Alcohol should also be excluded from the menu. This type of diet is not recommended for people with food allergies, those who have heart, liver or kidney disease. Not suitable for pregnant women. If you have decided to start this regimen, consult a specialist.
