I'm sure it's not just me who can't figure out exactly how much pasta dough to mix, and I often have unused lasagna crusts.
In most cases, they are dried, frozen, even discarded, and I never remember the next time I mix another dough that I have some from the previous cooking of pasta in the freezer.
After another overflow of excess lasagna crusts, I no longer store or freeze them, but started looking for ways to put them in all sorts of standard and non-standard ideas with lasagna crusts.
Here are some examples that guarantee you delicacies with lasagna crusts.
- imposed pie with cheese, eggs and spinach instead of ordinary pie crusts;
- Napoleon cake
- biscuit cake trays instead of biscuits;
- a variety of dishes in which I would use pasta, noodles or spaghetti;
- cut into pieces and sprinkled with sugar or cheese instead of noodles;
- crushed very finely and subsequently put into soups instead of noodles or croutons;
- cooked, chilled and used for ice cream sandwiches or other similar desserts.
There are many more options and ideas with lasagna crustswhich can give birth to the imagination.
One of my boldest experiments was Lasagna-caramel, which became surprisingly tasty and later I made this cake a few more times purposefully.
