Aronia is the first multivitamin fruit with proven healing properties. In its fruit they are five times more than in grapes. Therefore, wine from chokeberry or with added fruit chokeberry is many times more healing and useful than wine only from grapes.

In the production of wine from or with chokeberry, it is very important to preserve the unique delicate tannin taste, aroma and healing properties of the plant.

In addition to improving the quality of the wine, chokeberry also gives it a unique sweet taste. This is due to the natural sweetener sorbitol, found in the contents of the fruit. It is this ingredient that has a cleansing effect on the body, removing all toxins from it. Some prefer to add chokeberry to the raw material for wine production. Others rely on pure chokeberry wine.

Homemade chokeberry wine

Necessary products: Container with a capacity of 3 liters, 1 kg of chokeberry, 1 kg of sugar, raisins

Method of preparation: Pour the fruit into the selected container and mash with your hands. Add about 300 g of sugar and raisins. They support successful fermentation. The resulting mixture is poured into warm water, which should be 2/3 of the volume of the vessel.

The container is tightly closed with a lid and left in the dark for a week. On the eighth day, another 300 g of sugar is added, after which the container is closed for another seven days. On the eighth, add the last 300 g of sugar. After that it is left to ferment for another month.

When it runs out, the chokeberry should have settled to the bottom of the pot. The wine is filtered and left for a while to clear. To the finished wine can be added 1 liter of fruit juice from grapes or apple to obtain a more delicate taste.
