But in addition to the pleasure of picking sunflowers, there are several not so good sides. You know that these nuts are quite high in calories, which means that eating them constantly is not the best idea. But it seems that this problem remains a bit out of place when the other one appears.

Anyone who loves sunflowers and the sacred act of "picking" has happened not to stop in time. This means nothing but swollen and painful tongue that passes in a day or two, but the feeling is unpleasant. It was worth it, but it's still unpleasant. You will not have this problem if you buy unsalted sunflower, and it would be even better if it is peeled. But peeled sunflowers do not bring the same pleasure.

If you have raw sunflower at home, you can bake it yourself. There is absolutely nothing complicated in the whole procedure. All you have to do is watch the sunflower and stir it. To make it really tasty, there are several components that it is desirable to observe:

- Do not add a lot of salt when baking, because you can very easily oversalt it and make it unfit for eating;

- When you put it to bake, it is best to have it in a pan that is large enough to scatter the entire amount on its bottom. Otherwise, you risk some seeds to toast and others to remain raw;

- Stir the nuts constantly while they are roasting. If you leave them without stirring, you risk toasting them unevenly and making them bitter;

- Before you start the real part, wash it well or spray it with water and stir to make the salt stick to each seed;

- Remove the sunflower shortly before it is completely baked, because otherwise you risk it to be bitter;

- Do not leave it on the appliance switched off - until the heat is removed, the seeds may become too toasted.

During heat treatment, sunflower loses its nutrients. Specialists offer us only to dry it, not to bake it. In addition, it turns out that it is quite useful for the heart and lowering cholesterol. All this, of course, if you eat it in normal amounts.
