Iceberg salads are a great start to any dinner. The tender leaves of the salad are easily digested and combine perfectly with a wide range of flavors and ingredients. We offer you three recipes with Iceberg lettuce - one of them can even be served as a dessert.
Iceberg lettuce with arugula
Necessary products: 3 iceberg lettuce leaves, 30 g arugula, pitted black olives, 5 cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp. red beans, olive oil, salt, 4 tbsp. strained milk, 2 tbsp. mayonnaise, 2 tbsp. finely grated parmesan, walnuts
Method of preparation: Slice or shred the Iceberg lettuce, add the washed arugula, cherry tomatoes, halved tomatoes, olives, beans. In another bowl, mix the milk and mayonnaise, add salt and a little olive oil. Pour the salad into a plate and pour the sauce, and on top sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and 1 tbsp. finely ground walnuts.
The next suggestion for Iceberg lettuce is for fruit salad - for this you will need the following ingredients:
Iceberg lettuce with pineapple and blueberries
Necessary products: Iceberg lettuce, 200 g blueberries, 200 g small strawberries, 2-3 slices of pineapple (canned), balsamic vinegar, olive oil, hazelnuts
Method of preparation: Wash the iceberg lettuce and let it drain, then chop or cut into a suitable bowl. Wash the remaining fruit and add them to the iceberg lettuce.
It would be best if you choose small strawberries - before mixing them with other products, cut them in half. Pineapple pieces also cut into pieces. Finally, season with balsamic vinegar and a little olive oil. Pour into bowls and sprinkle with coarsely chopped hazelnuts on top.
Iceberg lettuce with pasta
Our latest suggestion is for a pasta salad. For this you will need about 200 g of pasta, which you need to boil and drain. Allow them to cool or wash them with cold water. Add Iceberg lettuce to them - cut it into thicker strips.
Then peel one cucumber and cut it in half, then each half in two. Cut these halves into pieces about a centimeter wide. Add them to pasta and iceberg lettuce.
From two stalks of fresh onion, separate only the feathers and cut into small pieces, then add to the other products. Add salt and a little olive oil, then pour a dressing of 150 ml of yogurt and 2 tbsp. mayonnaise.
Stir well and serve, sprinkled with pumpkin seeds, which you have baked in a dry pan beforehand.
