Mass poisoning of children from three kindergartens shocked the residents of the town of Pomorie. Massively, children who attend various kindergartens in the seaside resort, were thrown into bed with symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders.
The first signs of malaise appeared yesterday, in the early afternoon, and by the end of the day the kids were already vomiting and had a severe disorder.
Soon the parents of the injured children tied things up and found out that the epidemic had affected the graduates of children's institutions, who are supplied with food from the children's kitchen.
Parents' suspicions that their children's symptoms were most likely due to food poisoning rather than a common summer virus were heightened when it became clear that two garden workers had the same symptoms.
The mother of a child affected by the symptoms commented to Flagman that the little ones were most likely poisoned with soup, which was served to them at lunch.
Representatives of the relevant institutions have arrived in Pomorie as soon as possible and are working to find the cause of stomach upsets.
The mayor of Pomorie Ivan Alexiev told the media that the initial data show that this is not a food poisoning, but a summer virus.
Experts from the District Health Inspectorate took samples of the food that was served to the children yesterday and sent it for testing.
Until the results come out, all suppliers of children's kitchen products are checked.
With symptoms of food poisoning are 10 children from Kindergarten Detelina, 8 children from the branch of the garden, as well as 8 children from kindergarten Veselushko.
