Most of you who have visited England, France or the Netherlands probably know what you are talking about. For the rest we will clarify that Food warmer is an extract of yeast. The homeland of this delicacy is England.

It is extracted during the preparation of beer or more precisely - from brewer's yeast / by-product of beer production /. Before it could be processed, it was simply discarded.

It has been produced since 1902, and in recent years it has enjoyed great popularity in the countries of Western Europe. After processing it thickens and acquires the shape of a pate. The first company to start processing yeast from breweries was Marmite Food and that is the reason for its name.

In England it is used for breakfast, spread on a toasted slice of bread, and in other countries - as a spice in making various soups and delicacies. Some use it as a substitute for mustard and / or mayonnaise, depending, of course, on people's preferences.

It is a completely vegetarian dish and contains vitamin B12, niacin, thiamine, folic acid, riboflavin and others.

Some describe its taste as exceptional, others are of the opposite opinion. In fact, it tastes very salty and spicy, similar to mustard.

It is not yet available in Bulgaria, but you should definitely try it if possible.
