Of course, ancient Egyptian cheese was very different from the different types of cheese we know today. The cheese produced at that time contained much more salt, which was critical for its storage and preservation in the hot climate.

The disadvantages of raising camels for milking are several, but serious. First of all, female camels do not give more than 7 liters of milk per day, and more importantly, do not give it easily. Unlike cows, these animals will not release a drop of milk if they do not see their baby nearby. Another feature is that the farmer has to milk them straight, and they are definitely reluctant to stand still while someone holds them by the udder.

Milking cows is not such a big challenge. The centuries-old tradition of raising this cattle has led to the selection of breeds that give up to 26-30 liters of milk per day, without holding the calf around you. Some of the more modern households even have milking machines.

Last but not least, we should mention her stools. Camels are animals that are generally bred in hotter climates than cows. They use the water in their body in a highly efficient way and do not allow themselves to waste a drop. For this reason, camel droppings are dry enough to be used immediately as biofuel for heating.

In this respect, the cow is a waster of limited water supplies. A cow eats from 20 to 40 kg. grass a day and drink 130 liters of water. Roughly speaking, this makes about 68 pounds of stinking stool every day. Fortunately, cow dung is rich in phosphoric acid and nitrogen, which makes them valuable natural fertilizer products.
