It has long been known that slow eating is the key to a good figure, but now British experts have confirmed it. Eating at a slower pace will make us eat significantly less food, as opposed to fast eating, experts say, quoted by the Daily Mail.

The study is the work of scientists from the University of Bristol. The researchers used 40 people for the study - all volunteers were fed tomato soup, and the food was given to them with a hose from which the participants drank. Thus, the volunteers could not estimate exactly how much food they were eating.

The scientists fed them 400 ml of soup, divided into two separate portions. The first portion was at a fast flow rate - 11.6 ml for 2 seconds, followed by a 4 second pause. The second portion was given at a slow flow rate of 5.4 ml of tomato soup per second. Then there was a pause of ten seconds.

After being fed, the volunteers had to share how full they felt from the tomato soup. The participants in the study, who ate the soup at a slower pace, felt significantly fuller, unlike other volunteers, the results show.

In addition, they overestimated the amount they ingested, while in the other group all participants thought they had eaten a much smaller amount.

Proper nutrition helps not only for a good figure - by choosing the right foods and eating at a normal pace, we can help our body to be healthy. In addition, good food has a rejuvenating effect, smoothing wrinkles on the face and gives strength and shine to hair. This is what the Health website writes.

Our diet affects the way we age, so it is important to have enough vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fatty acids, etc. in our daily diet. Some of the best foods for rejuvenation are blueberries, pomegranate, watermelon, cabbage, eggs, and from nuts - walnuts. When it comes to drinks, experts recommend coffee the most.
