Elderberry syrup is very easy to prepare, and in summer it is a very pleasant and fragrant way to deal with the heat.

One way to make elderberry syrup is to make it from flowers and use lemon juice for acidification.

You need 45 elderflowers. It smells very gentle and is a pleasure to pick up. It's a good idea to use the colors as soon as you've picked them so they don't fade.

The flowers are flooded with a liter and a half of water, and the container in which they are placed is covered with a lid. It stays that way for 20-22 hours.

The juice is then filtered and 2 kilograms and 200 grams of sugar are added, stirring the water until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add the lemon juice and stir to dissolve in the liquid. The resulting syrup is poured into bottles, filling to the brim.

If you want the elderberry syrup to be slightly carbonated, put a few grains of rice in it. When you want to drink the syrup, just dilute it with water, with carbonated water, depending on your preferences.

You can also dilute it with champagne if it is a special case.

Elderberry syrup can be prepared in another way. You need 65 inflorescences and 6 lemons. The lemons are cut without peeling and placed in a large bowl in which the elder flowers are already placed.

Two and a half liters of water are boiled, removed from the stove. Add 2 kilograms and a half of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

The hot liquid is then poured over the flowers and lemons. Cover with a lid and leave until the dish cools completely. Then leave in the refrigerator overnight.

Elderberry syrup is filtered through gauze and poured into bottles. You can surprise your guests by adding a few raspberries or slices of strawberry to elderberry syrup diluted with water or sparkling water.

If warm water is added to elderberry syrup, it can successfully replace tea during the cold winter months.
