The brandy tastes like Japanese sake and Mexican tequila. Historical facts show that the production of brandy began in the fourteenth century. She arrived in Bulgaria from the Arab world through the lands of the Ottoman Empire.
In the past, brandy was made from wild fruits and grape marc. The history of this drink is part of the folk memory and family traditions for the simple reason that making this drink is indicated as a home craft, even when it appeared.
The level of degrees of homemade brandy varies from 30 to 50 degrees. The masters of brandy advise it to be kept in wooden barrels and not in plastic bottles. Thus, when in a barrel, the wood changes its color, and also improves its taste. It is recommended that the drink stay in the barrel for at least four years.
The recipe for making brandy has not changed for centuries and today's masters continue to follow the principles left by our ancestors. Fermented fruits are used to make brandy, as we all know. It can be made from only one fruit - apricot, grape, plum or mixed and made into fruit brandy. You can also put mulberry.
The brandy is boiled in a cauldron, from which the vapors are taken out through a copper tube and from there go to the coil.
