Schisandra or Chinese lemongrass is not only a recognized medicinal plant - the herb is a great choice for an ornamental plant. Besides looking very interesting, it has a great and strong lemon scent that will be worn in your home.
Schisandra is an effective herb against many ailments - it helps people suffering from diabetes, can help restore liver cells in hepatitis.
The herb also helps to soothe coughs in pneumonia - it reduces the secretion of secretions from the lungs, it can also be taken by people suffering from asthma. Last but not least, Chinese lemongrass activates metabolism, increases body tone and immunity.
Various studies have found that schisandra also helps people who suffer from cardiovascular disease - increases heart tone and heart rate, increasing their amplitude. The preparations that are available and that contain this herb protect the tissues of the heart that are damaged by long-term use of drugs.
To stimulate the cardiovascular system, it is recommended to eat the fruits of the plant - to eat a few fresh fruits twice a day until noon. If you do not have them, you can eat half a gram of dried schisandra fruit.
If you have not found the herb, you can buy a ready-made tincture of it or essential oil - take them again until noon, and the dose is 25 drops twice a day.
You can prepare an alcoholic extract from the seeds of the herb. For this purpose, 50 g of fruits are needed, which are ground (maybe crushed) well, after which 250 g of alcohol is added to them.
Leave the container with this mixture in a dark place for two weeks. After the days, strain the mixture and start taking 20 to 30 drops - put in a glass of water and drink before meals.
The extract is suitable for people who suffer from insomnia, palpitations, dizziness, impaired memory and irritability. This mixture is not recommended for pregnant women, people who have high blood pressure or epilepsy.
The schisandra infusion is prepared with ½ tsp. crushed berries, which are flooded with 250 or 500 ml of boiling water. The dose is taken in one day.
