The deep fryer is an excellent device for fast fried food at home. For frying, a fairly large amount of oil is usually used, which can lead you to think that cleaning it is a nightmare.

In fact, this is not the case at all, because cleaning the fryer is not as difficult as it seems. We have prepared a quick instruction on how to get rid of fats and smells of fried food.

1. Turn off the fryer. If you have used it recently, wait 2 hours for the fat in it to cool.

2. Remove the frying basket from the fryer and place it in the sink. Pour 2-3 drops of dishwashing detergent or other dishwashing detergent and leave it.

3. Remove the oil from the fryer. Use kitchen paper to wipe the inside. If there is food stuck, you can help yourself with a plastic spatula.

4. Wipe the greasy residue on the fryer heater with a paper towel very carefully, taking care not to injure or bend the thermostat.

5. Place 7-8 drops of the dishwashing detergent you have on the walls and bottom of the fryer. Use warm water and a soft sponge to clean it by wiping it in a circular motion.

6. Fill the fryer with hot water and leave it for 30 minutes with the water while cleaning the basket.

7. Put warm water on the frying basket, pour the detergent and rub from top to bottom and back with a coarser sponge until you remove the fat.

8. Allow the basket to dry.

9. Use half of the hot water in the fryer to clean the outside of the fryer and pour out the rest.

10. Pour warm water into the fryer and wipe the walls by hand so that no detergent remains in it. If necessary, rinse it several times.

11. Use a cloth to wipe the outside of the fryer and allow the inside to air dry.

The way the fryer is cleaned depends a lot on what model it is. If necessary, remove both filters on the lid to clean it.

Never leave the fryer plugged in while cleaning and do not immerse it in water.
